Together since early 2008, the band, all experienced musicians, are a perfect eclectic mix, writing and playing exclusively for the reward of returning and satisfied audiences.

Originating from California, Nick on lead vocals and guitar demonstrates a swaggering self assurance, supported by raw vocals likened to Daltry meeting Weller. Jack, bassist the only original band member from Birmingham provides pulsing basslines and a unique laid back edge. Richard, originally from Chatham in Kent, links the bands unique sound with edgy guitar riffs, and the not to be forgotten drummer Jacky, the only Northerner, provides more than palatable drumming defining the sound that is The Lucky 27s.

The intention was to create a sound that you have heard somewhere before, but could'nt quite put your finger on where. Musically adventurous, with more than their fair share of panache and energy the bands demeanour is one of endearing honesty, their melodic rock pop sound, much like the early 60's scene but written to give it a "today/modern" spin.

The band thrive on live exposure and festival stages having played several during the year, and with an ever increasing gig listing, as they spread their net wider beyond local to encompass more regional and national venues, but always ensuring their audiences are being entertained with sustained energy, the band are exactly what an up and coming underground sensation should be.
